About the Pastor

                                                                                                                                                 

Rev Rodger Moyer grew up in a Pastoral home with the Evangelical United Brethern Church.  His father later served as Director of a Penal Missions in California, Oregon and Washington for World Gospel Mission.  His mother was director of an unwed mother's home  and was a nurse.  Rodger was called to the ministry  at a Camp Meeting at the age of 6.  In 1985,he graduated of Vennard Bible College and has been pastoring in the East Central Conference of the Evangelical  Church since that time. He was ordained in 1987. He pastored in Marion, Ohio for three years; Shilo,Ohio for ten years; and 21 years in Sturgis, MI.  He became pastor of  the Litchfield  Congregational Church on March 1st 2020.  Over the past 37 years Rev. Moyer has been blessed to have preached many revival meetings and at several  Camp Meetings throughout the United States.

Rev. Moyer has authored four books;  "What They Had We Need", "What We Need To  Know and Never Let Go",  "The Last Days and Rapture of the Church", "The Apostles Creed", and a booklet entitled "It's  All About Power". Rev. Moyer has been faithful to preach both the saving and sanctfying grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He has a wife, Joyce, to whom he has been married 42 years, and two daughters, Amanda (32) and Julie (27).

The avowed purpose of this church shall be to worship God the Father, to preach the Gospel of  his Son, Jesus Christ, by the power of  the  Holy Spirit, and to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism and The Lord's Supper; to realize   Christian fellowship and unity within  this  Church and the Church Universal;  to render loving service to all people; and to strive for righteousness, justice, and peace
